Come Forth as Gold
"Thou hast formed us for Thyself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Thee"
Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God

O the Lord is Faithful!
It has been a very long time...months in fact. I've been in a season of quiet and its been beautiful. Hard, yes. Different? Yes! WONDERFUL? Yes! He is a great God and i am thankful that HE has control, because my ways are futile, His are grand. My timing is, "right here, right now," and His is that of, "great things take time..." Here, is an excerpt of the "book" GOd, the Great Author and Perfecter of our faith has called me to write...more like, He's asked if He can type using my fingers....:)
The Abundant life?
Perhaps the most pervasive struggle among the body of Christ today is our lack of satisfaction. In general, we don’t seem to magnify the fact that Christ came to give the abundant life. He accomplished his end of the deal, what about ours? He’s opened to prison doors, why do we choose, daily, to stay in that cage? Unbelief? Comfort? Security? I think all of these together, coupled with the enemy’s craft and frontal attack make for a very serious problem.
In Romans 12, Paul writes of abstaining from being conformed to the patterns of this world. Instead of being so satisfied by Him that we show this world how it’s done, this world is laying the groundwork and dictating how to, essentially, never be fulfilled. We follow this plan, like it’s the blueprints of a spectacular castle of success and happiness. We find, whether it be sooner or later, it was merely the architecture to emptiness. Still, we don’t turn to become whole by the only One who can make us just that. No, we search with every ounce of strength we’ve got in the untouched wings of the castle. The wing of idolatry in relationships, or the room of wealth, or maybe, in the attic of lust and temporary gratification. These rooms are all empty, leaving us feeling less fulfilled then when we began our investigation. We seek, we explore, we investigate, when all the while, the Answer is right in front of us. He is inviting us to join Him in the entryway, where a banquet of satisfaction and a feast of the best and most fulfilling food await. It’s the place where the company is intimate and authentic. We are appreciated for who we are, not what we’ve done. We are known and welcomed, secure and complete. As we enter this hall, our identity is suddenly solidified; it’s as if we were supposed to be here all along. And we were. This is home. This is comfort. This is absolute contentment and satisfaction.
“The poor will eat and be satisfied.” Psalm 22:26 unlocks a door of enlightenment upon the topic of satisfaction. The word “poor” in this verse is not speaking of poor as we associate it today. It is not to have no money necessarily, but to not have wealth in the standards of this world. We must empty ourselves of, ironically, ourselves. We are the one preventing ourselves from experiencing absolute fulfillment. We are the bearer of dissatisfaction. We accept the worlds cheap imitations with open arms and jubilation, unaware of the costs.
There you have it. Thats a little bit of what He's been expounding to me lately....if anyone reads this and wants to e-mail me, my e-mail is: katescaptivated@hotmail.com
