Come Forth as Gold
"Thou hast formed us for Thyself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Thee"
Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God

"as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you." - Isaiah 62:5

This is the passion, the love, the adoration, and the intimacy God has for you. It is all over the Bible. (Genesis, Isaiah, Hosea, Psalms, Songs, Ephesians and Relevations) Yes, He is Father, Lord, Master, Friend....but He is all things in One. He is also Lover, Husband, Groom. We are the Bride of Christ. This is uncomfortable for many, because it is not often talked about, and it is not often talked about b/c it makes people uncomfortable...a terrible cycle that often prevents God people from knowing the depth of His love for them.
Think about it, the most initimate relationship on earth is that of a husband and wife; God created marriage to mirror the intimacy He desires with us. It's not enough that we would call Him Master, He wants more of us, He is captured by us, one glance of our eye and He is enthralled. Why does this scare us and make us uncomfortable? Because it means authenticity and intimacy like we have never known...it means opening our hearts, souls and Spirit to the Truth and life-changing power of the Love of God.
Questions or comments about this? Put them in and I'll get back to you. Enter into ALL God has for you- He is love sick for you, His beloved, His chosen, His cherished!

so so so so true. Thank you Kate for reminding us of our position in Christ. HE does desire us more than we can ever understand and it's so important to remember He loves us intimately as well as in a Fatherly sense.
